2023-2024 Wrestling Season

Registration for the 2023-2024 wrestling season is now available (visit the "Club Registration" tab of the website). More detailed practice will be available to those registered on or before November 17th.   

Our “regular” season begins in late November and concludes in late February.  Postseason (state series) wrestling is the first two weeks in March.

After our initial registration period closes, we will evaluate the registrations we receive to form practice groups and establish a practice schedule.  We will email practice details (days/times) to you prior to the start of the season.  Practices will likely begin the week after Thanksgiving.

Manhattan Wrestling Practice Schedule for the 2023-2024 Season:
SCHEDULE TO BE DETERMINED
-Regular Season practices run late November to late February
-State Qualifying Series ("Postseason"; 8U and older) is the first two weeks of March

Practice Groups (TO BE DETERMINED for 2023-2024)
Coaches will make sure each wrestler is in the appropriate practice group.

Registration and Payment must be done by December 1st or the wrestler will not be allowed to practice until it is complete.  We don't want money to be the reason a child does not participate--if you need to make special payment arrangements, please contact us at [email protected].   

Ages 5 and older. Boys and girls are welcome.

Practice times and groups are subject to change--DO NOT REFERENCE THIS PRACTICE SCHEDULE UNTIL IT HAS BEEN REVISED FOR THE 2023-2024 SEASON.

Level 1:  Foundational Practice (Ages 8 and younger PLUS any kids in their first year of wrestling)
	*Regular Practice Schedule begins Monday, November 27th Monday:  5:45 - 6:30 pm Thursday:  5:45 - 6:30 pm Coach will be available for Q&A after practice
Level 2:  Developmental Practice (Ages 9 and older; must be a second year wrestler or more experienced)
	*Regular Practice Schedule begins Monday, November 27th Monday:  6:30 - 8:00 pm Thursday:  6:30 - 8:00 pm
Level 3:  Advanced Practice (Determined by coaching staff)
	*Regular Practice Schedule begins Monday, November 27th Monday: 6:30 - 8:00 pm  Tuesday: 6:00 - 7:45 pm  Thursday: 6:30 - 8:00 pm
Junior High & High School may join the club after their respective seasons.

Practice Gear & Equipment:
Kids need to wear athletic shorts or sweats (no zippers, buttons or snaps), a t-shirt, and clean wrestling shoes (if you do not have wrestling shoes at the beginning of the season, please wear clean shoes; there may be wrestling shoes that wrestlers have donated back to the club).  Please no watches, wristbands, jewelry, etc.  Headgear will be required when the regular practice schedule begins.  Each kid should bring their own water bottle to practice.  Please have your child wear weather appropriate clothing (winter hat and coat) to and from practice.
